What a U.P. student is not..

What is in your mind when you hear the word U.P.?
Would your mind reflect a school with the motto”Democratized access to better education for the under privileged?Would your mind reflect students wearing this checkered maroon skirt and necktie?
Would your mind reflect students treating their book as one of their family?

Yes, it would.Aside from what I said,U.P. Students are also known for their intelligence.People say positive comments to us.I know what it feels to have people saying good comments about you because I'm one of the Upians,but what they do not know is our negative sides which are about to be revealed.These are some:
What U.P. Students are saying are not always true; I consider this as one of our negative sides that U.P. students have. It is because people makes us as a judge or an authority in what they were saying.If one of us say that this one is correct, they immediately accept it as the fact..which is in fact..the false one.
UPians are not sluggish;Although some are, most of U.p. Students are studious.Most people we are lazy,that we don't care about anything else but to study.That's why UPians only excel in academics.Well,some of it are true,but we are trained here in U.P. To be a good citizen and not to be lazy.Maybe some say we are inert in other fields because we only study books.
U.P. Students also posses intelligence not only in academics but also in other fields like arts and sports;Many students here in U.P. Are talented,they are only shy to show it.There were already alumni from U.P. Who had careers in arts, music and sports.Some were very talented that they were discovered!!
We are not yet insane;”Too much studying may damage the brain”.Most people say this,and one example is in U.P...students here face books every minute ,every hour,every second and everyday.We don't speak things other than those discussed.That we don't have time for other matters,which are in fact,not true.U.P. Students are not yet insane.
Some students in U.P. Are still practicing this “Filipino time”.We always face Mdm.Mercado whenever we are late.It is because U.P. Students are still practicing this Filipino time style,whenever the class agrees to assemble in this particular time, we always emerge one or two fours after the agreed time.This is one of the problems here in this school—Filipino time.Even when the faculty increases the assembled time for the flag ceremony every monday,there are still those students who would still not follow it.
Some Upians don't follow regulations;(he he..) everyday, the student welfare chairperson always has someone to be listed in their logbook.It's because Upians are hard-headed.They don't follow instructions.Their are many violations here in U.P.,but students won't follow it, they make their own style which causes them to land at the principal's office.
