My reaction for the story"love is a fallacy"

My reaction?!
As I was reading the story entitled "love is a fallacy" by Max Schulman,
I was a little bit confused in the first page,I did not understand the story very much like what others did,I thought it was a boring story.
But, as I went on reading through the next pages,I got a little more and more excited.
I was thrilled to know the answer when the author or the narrator asked Petey Bellows to give her Polly to him.
Will Petey give his girl?
was the first question that raised through my mind.
I was surprised to know how Polly thinks!I did not expect that she was that...you know....
Will Polly Espy learn from what the author was telling her?
this was the question that came through my mind after reading the part where the narrator was like tutoring Polly about fallacies. Fallacies?!..why fallacies, of all the matters which needs to be discussed, why this one?
I then know that he was teaching Polly about the different fallacies because:
-he was a law student
-he was teaching Polly how to think logically.
I had a hard time understanding the story because of the words that were not familiar to me.I still have to search it in the dictionary to fully understand the meaning that it wants to give.To tell you the truth,
I was not even familiar about raccoon coats.Funnily, I researched it's picture in the Internet and found it.Since I did not have a copy of the story(i was not able to print it because it was very long...about eight or nine pages),I just borrowed from my classmates.I had to read it many times just to get the full point of the author.
For me,love is a real fallacy. You are willing to sacrifice all for a person who would still not choose you.It just like, you were made a toy.If he or she gets bored of you, nothing, he or she will just be thrown.
But sometimes, you can also say that love is not a fallacy.
Meant-to-be lovers would agree about this.Love can't be transferred to any one else.True, you may love another person, but you should love them in different degrees. For example, you should only love some person as friends and love a particular person as a part of your life.
In the story,it was pointed out that Polly still wanted Petey in spite of what Gee had done for her.For her to learn!
It was like as if Polly did not value Gee even a little.Although Gee,taught her how to think, it still appears that she did not learn from him, but what can we do? We can't command her heart. It's up to her to choose, whether she choose the one who loves her...or the one she loves. It's in you to choose.Anyway,it's your own life ehehe!!!
Well, the story was getting more and more excited as I read through the next pages.
I was excited and was thrilled and my mind was full of questions.
After all, I can say, It's a nice story....

"A Summary of Max Schulman's "Love Is a Fallacy"".

The author,Gee,as he was called, was cool.He was also logical. He is a law student.he was keen, perspicacious, acute, and astute.Gee, has a best friend named Petey Bellows. At the same time, he was his roommate.
They(peter and the author) liked the same girl. The girl's name is Polly Espy.
An afternoon, he found Petey lying in his bed with an expression of such distress. He immediately know that it was appendicitis. He told Petey not to not to move because he'll call a doctor.
He stopped because Petey was saying something.Petey repeated that he wants to have a raccoon coat.A raccoon coat.A raccoon coat looks like the one above.
Why do you want a raccoon coat? This was the question that raised through the author's mind.
Petey told him that most people were already wearing raccoon coats. He said that he didn't have a raccoon coat.
He also said that he would do anything just to have a raccoon coat.
The author thought for a while..then, he remembered that his father had a raccoon coat years, years, back.It is now in their old house. It was a co-incidence.Petey got what he want.Polly.He had long coveted Polly. And he wants Polly to be hers.Polly has table manners. She also has the beauty. What she lacks is the brain. She has no brain. No brain, I mean, that she don't know how to think logically. She has all what it takes to be a social girl but only the brain lacks.
However, this did not discouraged the author. He said that time will soon supply the lacks. He even said that it's better to make a dull, beautiful girl smart than tan to make an ugly intelligent girl pretty.
Then, he made several dates with Polly, trying to find a way to make her think.Of all the dates that they had,not one ever made her think logically.
The author wanted to surrender..nut when he recall the way the girl uses her fork and spoon, and the way she handles a knife,he will just told his self that he can do it.He invited Polly to have a date with him,it was exactly not a date but it was like a tutorial.
He tried teaching her about the fallacies which he learned in his lawyer's days.
The first one he taught was Dicto Simpliciter:Dicto Simpliciter means an argument based on an unqualified generalization.
He gave an example and made Polly think afterwards. He was disappointed by her response. She doesn't really know how to think.
He made an effort to tell her another. It was called Hasty Generalization.Again, he gave an example and made her think about the answer. He fought off his despair because her answer.
Again he told her another fallacy, it's called Post Hoc.
He told her another example and the same thing happened.
Not surrendering, he gave another fallacy, the Contradictory Premises..He was again disappointed by her response.
Turning at her watch,he told Polly that there tutorial will end up there.
At the next day, he did the same as the other day.
He gave another called the Ad Misericordiam.
As what happened in the other day, he was still disappointed, but he didn't stop there.
He gave another called False Analogy.
After her response, he was still not impressed by her answer.
He gave her another fallacy called the Hypothesis Contrary to Fact.
She wasn't able to give her reaction.
He gave her the fallacy called Hypothesis Contrary to Fact.
The same happened.
Another fallacy which he gave was the Poisoning the Well.
He asked Polly to think hard...at last, she gave the correct reaction.
As time passed, Polly learned how to think..but when the author told her that he wanted her.....She chose Petey. She said it's because he had a raccoon coat....
